The Northwest Indiana Quality of Life Council will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to our quality of life at our Seventh Annual Quality of Life Council Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, September 15th at Avalon Manor on Rte. 30, Hobart.

Nominations are being solicited from our membership and the community at large.  Nominees, however, need not be members of the Council.  Multiple nominations are welcomed.

A volunteer committee will review all nominations and select individuals in three award categories: OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION (individuals whose community involvement and impact are well beyond the bounds of many others), LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT (efforts made over a long period of time), and PROMISE OF THE FUTURE (for youth who are making a difference by their efforts).

The Quality of Life Council adheres to the principles of ‘sustainability’.  We ask, therefore, that nominations for our awards focus on one or more conceptual foundation of ‘sustainability’: economic development, environmental well-being, and social inclusion.  Nominees for our PROMISE OF THE FUTURE AWARDS must be under the age of 21.
