Welcome to the Northwest Indiana Quality of Life Council!Focused on Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties, The Quality of Life Council seeks to inspire regional leaders to take actions that improve the economy, the environment, and society for the benefit of current and future generations.
The Quality of Life Council was founded in 2000 by the six chancellors and presidents of Northwest Indiana's regional universities and colleges along with local environmental advocates, Lee Botts and Mark Reshkin. Over time, the Council has focused its energies on convening important regional conversations and issuing reports designed to set the agenda for sustainable growth in Northwest Indiana.
